Use case · AI FinOps

AI spend tracked to the budget, not discovered at the invoice.

Set a budget per developer, per team, per group or per client app. Daily, weekly or monthly. When spend nears the limit, the owner is alerted. Each call is on a tamper-evident record like any allowed call.

Runs inside your AWS, GCP or Kubernetes install.

How Raidu handles it

How budgets work.

  1. 01

    Set the budget shape

Budgets can be set per user, per team, per group, per organisation or per client app. Each budget runs on a daily, weekly or monthly window. A team or group can have a pool ceiling plus a per-member grant: members draw from their individual grant first, then from the shared pool.

  2. 02

    Alerts fire before the limit

Set alert thresholds on any budget. When spend crosses a threshold, an alert fires once per window. The team lead or finance owner sees the alert as it happens, before the invoice.

  3. 03

Stop at the cap, record it

When spend crosses a budget threshold, the owner is alerted. The alert is a tamper-evident, chained record that carries the team, the model, the estimated token count, the estimated cost and the verdict.

The record

The budget alert, on the record.

Every call that crosses a budget threshold raises an alert, and the call is on a tamper-evident record, chained like any other.

Common questions

Answered straight.

What levels can a budget be set at?
Per user, per team, per group, per organisation or per client app. Each level is independent. A call is checked against every budget that applies.
What is a pool-plus-grant budget?
A team or group can have a shared pool ceiling and a per-member grant. Each member draws from their individual grant first. When the grant is exhausted, the call draws from the shared pool. When the pool runs low, the owner is alerted.
How does the alert system work?
You set thresholds on any budget. When spend crosses a threshold, an alert fires once per window. You choose the threshold; Raidu fires the alert.
What does the usage record contain?
Input tokens, output tokens, cached tokens and cost per call, plus the team, model and policy verdict for that call.
Where does spend data live?
Inside your own cloud install.
