Consent Manager (DPDP)

Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023, a Consent Manager is a person registered with the Data Protection Board of India who acts as a single point of contact for a Data Principal to give, manage, review and withdraw consent.

Also known as: DPDP consent manager

When it applies

Consent manager rules commence on 13 November 2026 under the DPDP Rules 2025 (Gazette G.S.R. 843(E) to 846(E)). If you collect consent digitally, the tamper-evident receipt chain and the commencement clock apply from that date. Full DPDP obligations follow on 13 May 2027.

In Raidu

Wheelhouse makes every consent a tamper-evident receipt in an append-only chain, keeps withdrawal no harder than giving, and verifies a guardian by a stated method before accepting consent for a child. Consent Manager registration is supported; routing to a registered Consent Manager’s interface is not built yet. See Consent.
